More about me
My background and how I work

I started in the UX field after working in corporate finance. My first UX experience was designing Voice User Interfaces. I experienced how humbling, yet powerful it was to observe users interact with my designs. I quickly learned how essential UX research is in optimizing products to maximize adoption and growth.
My favorite part of UX research is working with users from all different walks of life. I'm constantly learning from them as I get to peer into their work, behaviors, and environment and uncover their thoughts and sentiments.

As a researcher, I'm most effective when I'm part of a larger team. I collaborate with designers, engineers, product managers, and others who value research as a way to build business value through improving the user experience.

What I do outside of work

Outside my professional life, I'm often outside hiking, exploring nature, gardening or just enjoying the sunshine. Typically with one or more dogs at my side. You can also find me involved with DIY projects where my dogs are still by my side, but unfortunately not very helpful.
I volunteer with my local 4-H club as a youth advisor and part of the adult leadership team. I also foster animals for Contra Costa Rabbit Rescue and Oakland Animal Services - mostly dogs, rabbits and the occasional chicken.
